Everything we do at Mabey & Johnson – from manufacture and applications engineering to shipping and logistics – is geared to delivering pre-engineered bridge solutions that work for our customers.
To achieve this, we invest three percent of our annual turnover in R&D to ensure our bridges reflect the latest thinking in materials, processes and know-how – through to ongoing improvements in the manufacture of components at our dedicated UK plant in Lydney, Gloucestershire.

Our certification to the ISO 9001 quality standard ensures:
- Full traceability of all steel from mills to finished product
- All structural steel meets EN 10113, Grade S460N
- All hot dip galvanising is applied to B729
- All welding and fusion of metallic materials is undertaken to the EN 287/288/729 welding standard
